I visited my sister's house not too long ago & found this picture on the left.
Seeing it made me sick to my stomach, remembering that time in my life.
But it also made me realize how far I've come since then.
I went from being a perfectionist who hated her body, who had disordered eating behaviors, & whose life revolved around controlling food & exercise out of guilt & shame...
to being a fitness coach who really likes what I see in the mirror, who actually enjoys movement & all foods (except goat's milk 😁), & who sees health entirely differently.
(If you can believe it, I actually thought I was healthy then.)

That person on the left feels so foreign to me now, but it is a part of my story, & I am so grateful for all of it.
You might not be able to relate to my story personally, but if when it comes to making a transformation in yourself, there are some commonalities...
So how did that change happen, friend?
Well...
1. I hit rock bottom. I knew I had a problem, & it literally came down to my deterioration or the discomfort of change.
2. I got help. It hurt my pride, & the little toddler in me was kicking & screaming no, but I knew I needed help if I was going to survive, so I accepted it.
3. I showed up for myself, over & over & over again. Lots of mindset shifts, patience, compassion, & practice.
Health is so much more than your weight, your exercise routine, or your diet.
Your body absolutely needs balanced movement & nourishing foods, yes, but the motivation behind those things is arguably the most important thing.
How you see yourself is paramount to your health.
Now, the whole reason I do what I do now is to help others discover the freedom of hope & daily habits, & the empowerment of true health & happiness.
I've spent the last few years creating my fitness business from nothing, & everything I've done is for that: hope, habits, happiness, health.
Because true fitness starts in the mind & comes out in actions.
So, friend, know that you are worthy of all good things, & you have the power to create the life you want.
